Steve Nagiewicz is a licensed ships Master and has over 40 years’ experience scuba diving. He is former Executive Director and Fellow of the Explorers Club, also a Fellow of the Royal Geographic Society and member of American Academy of Underwater Sciences, Society for Historical Archaeology and the Register of Professional Archaeologists. Steve has also managed the State of New Jersey’s Marine Sciences Laboratory at Sandy Hook, NJ. He is a member of the Brick Township Historic Preservation Council and former Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Shark Research Institute.
Nagiewicz has his Master’s Degree from Stockton University. He currently teaches Marine and Environmental Sciences at Atlantic City High School and Marine Archaeology and Maritime History as Adjunct Faculty at Stockton University. He has been featured on episodes of National Geographic, Discovery Channel, Drive by History (NJ PBS) Divers Down TV and Dive Wreck Valley television shows. His first book is titled; Hidden History of Maritime New Jersey and is co-author of his second book published by University of Florida Press; ROBERT J. WALKER.
